Gavin Rubinstein announces a “new era” for video marketing

The Luxury Listings Sydney star has realized the importance of video as a real estate marketing tool as he lines up with a brand new app.

Gavin Rubinstein of The Rubinstein Group (TRG), who has been officially named Ten Sixty’s official Australian ambassador, said the shortened video was “an integral marketing tool” in his business.

Ten Sixty – also known simply as “1060” – first launched in Australia earlier this year.

In an exclusive interview with REB, Mr. Rubinstein revealed that “in a growing digital world, our clients want to showcase their properties first through video.”

“A short video allows buyers to quickly view a property and decide if they want to request an inspection, all in seconds,” he said.

According to Mr. Rubinstein, “We are entering a new era where video is laid back and ‘in the moment.'”

“You just need to watch the top agents around the world producing live, short-form video content,” he said.

He thinks any real estate agent who doesn’t make short videos is missing out on “massive” engagement opportunities: “It’s the fastest way to get a property on the market and start a conversation.”

He recognizes that busy agents — and busy teams — require time-efficient processes.

But even then, he sees the value of investing in video marketing, devoting between 10 and 20 hours a week to this part of his business.

“I shoot two hours of footage for all my real estate campaigns to get a one minute video for online platforms,” he shared.

Speaking about the future of video marketing in the industry and his decision to take on an ambassadorial role with Ten Sixty, Rubinstein said the app was “an incredibly powerful tool”.

Comparing it to TikTok and Instagram reels, he said that’s where he sees the industry evolving: “Over the next few years, I see real estate becoming a short video.

“Consumers want to be able to simply browse short videos on their phone and follow agents they trust and find entertaining.”

He sees the platform as a way for agents “to create a dedicated online audience who are interested in real estate and who might be looking to buy or sell.”

Touting it as “a great way to easily list hot new properties that have just hit the market in seconds”, the TRG founder believes that beyond agents, it can also be an “incredibly useful tool ” for buyers, sellers and investors.

And he is not the only one to have taken up residence on the application.

“In just a few short months, Ten Sixty has been picked up by thousands of the world’s top luxury teams, including iconic teams such as Team SERHANT in New York, Joyce Rey (#1 Agent in California), The Jills-Zeder team (#1 in the US), Maya Vander from (Selling Sunset),” he listed.
