Mayflower Mountain Resort’s First Properties Hit the Real Estate Market

The first Mayflower development to list properties for sale is called Marcella Ski and Golf Community. About 50 properties became available for sale ahead of the May market.

The price to pay ? Between 2 and 4 million dollars.

The land accessible to the ski slopes varies in size from 1/4 acre to 8 acres. A statement from Berkshire Hathaway Utah announcing the sale also touts the project’s access to a future private golf course. Summit Sotheby’s is the property broker Marcella and Shelia Hall is the listing agent.

Park City Board of Realtors chairwoman Rene Wood said that given the hot local real estate market, she thinks there will be takers.

“I think with all the selling and going on around Mayflower, it’s just going to continue to keep the market steady in the Heber Valley and Park City, as well as Kamas.”

Wood says she is not directly involved in the Marcella project.

In several phases, the Marcella project plans to build more than 150 houses in a housing estate.

The release announced the premarket offerings in mid-May. At that time, he said nearly 30 of the 50 domains in the first phase of the project had already been sold.

“A lot of times they’ll sell lots ahead of time, and then people resell them,” Wood says. “I mean, a lot of new developments will. They will pre-sell all of their lots, and it may still change hands with who ends up closing.

Although the resort does not plan to operate the lifts for a few years, 2022 is a busy year for accommodation on the site.

According to Senior Vice President of Development Kurt Krieg of Extell, the developer of the Mayflower ski area, about 60 homes from Mayflower’s Pioche project will also hit the market later this year. And two of the four apartment buildings in this project could welcome their first tenants in the fall.

Last week, the board of directors of the Military Installation Development Authority, the state agency responsible for overseeing development, approved more batches. Council has approved the flat Galena Three for another development to be built above the main ski area, this one with nearly 70 homes.

Also this summer, Extell plans to open an 8 km trail for hiking and biking. This is part of 50 miles of summer trails that Extell has agreed to build in the resort.
