Real estate firm acquires 140 acres near Luke Air Force Base
PHOENIX – A real estate company has completed the purchase of 140 acres of land near Luke Air Force Base for a new industrial project called Luke Field.
LPC Desert West, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Lincoln Property, has completed the acquisition of the land for $53 million.
The company plans to erect three buildings totaling 2.3 million square feet. Of the three, the largest building will total 1.26 million square feet and will be flanked by spaces totaling 604,000 and 416,000 square feet.
The land is located near the corner of Northern Avenue and Litchfield Road, directly across from the end of the runway at Luke Air Force Base.
Buildings at Luke Field will feature 40ft high walls, steel frame bracing, automated dock doors and 5ft by 10ft clerestory windows to provide sky views and light natural.
Construction is expected to start in late 2022 and finish in early 2024.
A 12.5 mile stretch of road designed to accommodate high capacity vehicles, the Northern Parkway, lies just north of the proposed construction site.
The road connects to the 303 loop and provides an alternate option for Interstate 10 compliant commercial vehicles.
LPC Desert West is the same company that won the Park303 project just three miles from the Luke Field site on the west side of the air base.
