This is what the Central Florida real estate market looks like today – WFTV

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – The real estate market in Central Florida is still hot, but not as hot as it used to be.

The latest figures for September show that the median home price fell in the Orlando area for the first time last year.

Real estate agents are also seeing more homes on the market. Inventories have increased six of the past seven months.

And they said that while it’s still a good market for sellers, it’s improving for buyers who don’t face so much competition to buy homes.

“The most deals we’ve had on any of our homes was 52 this spring,” said Ray Lopez of Keller Williams-Advantage 2 Realty. “The most we have had in the last two months is 11 offers on a property.”

With interest rates still low, Lopez said he thinks the time to buy is now, but as spring and summer approach with more and more people moving here, he said there was a good chance it would heat up again.
